Use of personal data

  • Comments

When you leave a comment on our website, not only the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected to help us detect unwanted comments.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After validating your comment, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

  • Media

If you are a registered user and you upload images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS coordinate data. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.

Contact forms

  • Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be asked to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience so you don’t have to enter this information if you make another comment later. These cookies expire after a year.

If you have an account and log on to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a login cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check “Remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

When editing or publishing a publication, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the publication you have just modified. It expires after a day.

  • Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles…). Content integrated from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with such embedded content if you have an account logged into their website.

Use and transmission of your personal data

  • Data storage periods

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows the following comments to be automatically recognized and approved instead of being left in the moderation queue.
For users who register on our site (if possible), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username-ice). Site managers can also view and modify this information.

  • The rights you have over your data

If you have an account or if you have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we have about you, including those you have provided. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.

  • Transmission of your personal data

Visitors’ comments can be verified using an automated service to detect unwanted comments.

Processing of personal data for recruitment purposes

The security and protection of your personal data is a priority for Synetis.

When you apply for one of our job offers, you are asked to provide Synetis with personal data about yourself. The processing of this data is necessary for the consideration and examination of your application and is carried out in accordance with the regulations applicable to the protection of personal data and, in particular, the European General Data Protection Regulation. Synetis has defined a global policy for compliance with European regulations.

The personal data collected is processed for the purposes of managing applications and recruitment, and is used to assess your suitability for the position offered. Such processing is necessary for the pursuit of Synetis’ legitimate interests.
Should you be recruited by Synetis, your data will be further processed for the purposes of managing your employment and career within Synetis.

In particular, we collect the following personal data:
– Identification data (last name, first name, email, telephone, postal address, etc.),
– Career data (CV, training, professional experience, skills, etc.),
– Cover letter,
– Type of position required.

Some of the personal data requested may be compulsory. You will be informed of this at the time of collection by means of an asterisk or equivalent. Optional information is intended to help us get to know you better.

The candidate’s personal data is intended for Synetis and can be accessed by our recruitment teams, our HR team and our IT teams administering our tools. Personal data may also be communicated to public bodies, legal auxiliaries and public officers, in order to comply with any applicable law or regulation, to which Synetis may be required to respond (legal or administrative request).
As part of our recruitment evaluation process, some of your data (surname, first name, e-mail address) may be entrusted to our partner WelcomeToTheJungle.

Your application is sent via our partner WelcomeToTheJungle, who then allows you to create an account on their site to manage your applications at Synetis. Access to this site and use of this account is subject to WelcomeToTheJungle’s Terms of Use. Any rights you may have under applicable law may be exercised directly with WelcomeToTheJungle. Synetis shall in no event be liable for any damages incurred as a result of using this site and account.

Your personal data will be kept for the duration of the application process and will be archived for a period of two years from your last contact with Synetis if your application is unsuccessful.
In the event that you are recruited by Synetis, your data will be kept for the duration of your contractual relationship with Synetis, and thereafter until the expiry of the statutory limitation and retention periods.

You may at any time exercise your rights (access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation to processing and portability) with regard to the data concerning you by writing to the Data Protection Officer at dpo@Synetis.com.

You may lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).
